About the challenge task: check the Blogger Gallery:
1. Choose a photo from the Belogradchik Rock Formations;
2. Write a short paragraph in either Bulgarian or English language;
3. Publish your short paragraph in the provided window below.
Ideas & Tasks:
1. Go to Blogger Gallery Flikr site: The Fortress of Belogradchik and the
Picturesque Rock Formations | Flickr - view the Educational Photo Album, read the photo labels and then
read and fulfill task #2.
2. Please, choose one of the photos (from the album
provided), use your imagination and write a paragraph based on
the Three different periods which the actions have taken place: Antiquity,
Middle Ages and Modern Times.
3. Collaborative task: Group each other accordingly to the Photo
Story you’ve chosen and create a combination of all your Legends. Give a title:
Group Legend Photo Story! and upload your Photo story in
Flikr.
NB: In the paragraph you can describe what have happened with the different
rock formation you’ve chosen.
e.g. The Legend about the Backpacker
Once, during the XVIII century, lived a very powerful witch. She was pretty, tall, slim with deep greenish eyes and long wavy hair, a bit crooked teeth but in general she was pleasant to the eyes until people found her evil nature. At the moment she meets a man or sees something that she wanted she would do a spell over the person or over the object petrifying it/them turning them into a rock formation.
So, the Legend about ‘the Backpacker’ says that around 1734 lived a handsome man who was passing by her home. On his back he was carrying a sack full of silk and goodies. When the evil witch noticed him, she immediately ran towards him and tried to lure him to marry her but the man was faithful to his fiancé and refused to. The angry and furious witch bespelled him to freeze and turned him into a rock formation we see today.
